While account creation is limited, the request form collects your email address and, if you choose to give them, a name and a short note about why you’d like to join. Requesting access does not create an account.
These details are used only to review your request and, if it’s approved, to email you an invitation. They are visible to Muru’s administrators and not shared with anyone else. To limit abuse, a hashed form of your network address and email is briefly held by our rate-limiting service.
Requests that are never reviewed, and approved invitations that are never used, are deleted after 180 days; rejected and completed requests are deleted 90 days after their last change.
